Hi, I’m Mariam, and I work with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity struggles, and the particular weight of feeling different. I also support parents trying to reconnect with their teens, and adults moving through major life transitions, as well as couples seeking greater understanding and closeness in their relationships. My practice is grounded in the belief that symptoms often carry emotional truths and that therapy can offer a space to slow down enough to listen to what is happening beneath the surface.
My own experiences with adolescence, career transitions, and motherhood shape the kind of therapist I am—someone who is willing to sit with life’s more difficult realities while also bringing warmth, curiosity, and genuine presence into the room. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where people feel less alone with what they carry and more connected to themselves and their emotions.
Grounded in psychodynamic and somatic approaches, I help clients develop a deeper awareness of their emotional and embodied experience, creating space for greater self-understanding, safety, and internal coherence. Depth psychology, attachment theory, and parts work inform my approach, though curiosity and presence are what guide every session. Together, we will explore relational patterns, emotional defenses, identity formation, family dynamics, and the ways past experiences continue to shape present-day life. Therapy can be a place to build insight, resilience, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
